Welcome to the Aspen Ridge Neighbourhood of Saskatoon
One of Saskatoon’s newest neighborhoods (est. 2016/2017) is Aspen Ridge; home to only a few hundred residents so far, but is quickly growing and desirable location due to it’s easy access to the upcoming North Commuter Bridge, McOrmond Road, future commercial development, and easy drive to all of the amenities at University Heights Square. There are a large number of houses for sale in Aspen Ridge.
Tree-lined boulevards, extra wide sidewalks, bike lanes, public transit, and two-lane traffic both ways make getting around easy. The area will have an active urban vibe, with a mix of commercial amenities and residential options (above store apartments, condo complexes, townhouse and single family homes), inspired by the pedestrian friendly gathering places, market squares and cafes of Europe.
The best feature about Aspen Ridge is the North East Swale: one of the largest unbroken pieces of prairie wetlands in the Saskatoon region. The Swale supports rare and endangered plants and animals, as well as over 100 species of birds. The Meewasin Trail will provide access through the Swale so residents may enjoy the outdoors right in their backyard. The walking paths and opportunities for sight-seeing are endless, and it’s a perfect place for snowshoeing in the winter time.
The nearest elementary schools will be Sylvia Fedoruk, St. Nicholas, Silverspring School, Mother Theresa School, Willowgrove School and the Holy Family School. The high schools in closest proximity are St. Joseph High School, Centennial Collegiate. Students will have access to playgrounds, facilities for soccer, basketball, baseball, and plenty of green space for walking, running and playing.
