Welcome to the Caswell Hill Neighbourhood of Saskatoon
An up and coming neighborhood in Saskatoon built circa 1905, Caswell Hill is undergoing an upgrade with infills and renovations to the older homes and apartment-turned-condominiums; giving the area a fresh look, attracting young families, and keeping that old-timey feel. Mature trees line the streets of this tight-knit community.
Two schools (Caswell School and Bedford Road Collegiate) along with Mayfair Pool, facilities for tennis and basketball, a playground and a lawn bowling park are the main attractions here; and there’s a buzz of excitement and discussion about the removal of the bus barn. New affordable housing initiatives, commercial development and a public park are part of the City of Saskatoon’s plans to get the South Caswell Concept Plan completed.
In 2015, the City of Saskatoon Neighbourhood Profiles Report states that the percentage of home-ownership was at 63.3%. With Sask Polytechnic closeby, students renting accommodations likely make up a good chunk of the rental population; making investment property a sought after acquisition in Caswell Hill.
