Located on the South river banks of Saskatoon, the Exhibition neighborhood was erected between the first and second world wars. The Exhibition area is home to four parks: Exhibition Park, Achs Park, Thornton Park, and the well-known Diefenbaker Park. Diefenbaker Park is one of Saskatoon’s best tobogganing locations in the winter, and is a frequently used venue for picnics, public events, disc golf, and forms a large part of the Meewasin walking trails. Diefenbaker Park is also the gathering spot for the annual Canada Day celebrations in Saskatoon.
