Welcome to the King George Neighbourhood of Saskatoon
King George is located in Western Central Saskatoon, just South of Riversdale and North of Holiday Park. Homes in King George were mostly built between the early 1900’s and 1960 and there are approximately 2,172 residents living in the area today.
There is only one school in the neighbourhood; King George School, which is a beautiful brick building that was built in 1912. There are just over 40 acres of green space in King George, and there are endless recreational amenities such as walking trails, playgrounds, a soccer/football field, a baseball diamond, basketball court, a lawn bowling club, badminton and tennis courts and club, a skate-park, a boathouse and launch, and the Riversdale swimming pool. The Holiday Park Golf Course is located to the Southwest of the neighbourhood.
There is some shopping on Avenue H and 16th Street West and on Avenue L South, but given the central location of King George, shopping is abundant in the surrounding neighbourhoods. 11th Street West, Avenue P South, and 20th Street West provide convenience, gas and some locally owned shops, but downtown Saskatoon is a walk, bike or car ride away.
