Welcome to the Montgomery Place Neighbourhood of Saskatoon
Located in Saskatoon’s Southwestern corner, Montgomery Place is a unique neighbourhood in that the lot sizes here are typically much larger than any others in the city. Some say the neighbourhood has a “lake” feel to it, with a number of streets without sidewalks. Montgomery Place was primarily developed between 1950 and 1990, but there are some newer multi-family projects that were constructed over the past few years in the Northeast corner of the neighbourhood. There are approximately 2,975 people residing in the Montgomery Place today.
Two schools can be found in Montgomery; Montgomery School and St. Dominic School are located in the core of the neighbourhood. The neighbourhood offers amenities such as walking trails, playgrounds, soccer/football fields, baseball diamonds, a skating rink, a toboggan hill, and a paddling pool. There are approximately 15.27 acres of park and green space, but if you need more, you can head to the nearby spaces to the Southwest of Montgomery Place like the dog park and the Chappel Marsh Conservation Area, or head down to the Gordie Howe Park to the Southeast of the neighbourhood for a round of golf at the Holiday Park Golf Course. One of the other perks of living in Montgomery Place is the vicinity to the South Saskatchewan River. There are many miles of the Meewasin Trails to explore.
There is a small grocery store (Greg’s Grocery Plus) at the Northwest corner of Montgomery Place, but for more shopping you’ll have to head to the Confederation Mall, or Blairmore Suburban Centre. Circle Drive also makes access to the shopping at Stonebridge quite convenient and quick.
