Welcome to the Nutana Suburban Centre Neighbourhood of Saskatoon
The Nutana Suburban Centre is located in Saskatoon’s Southeastern corner and is home to approximately 3,065 residents; most of which reside in one of the majority of apartment style condominiums in the neighborhood. There are only a small handful of single family detached homes in the Nutana Suburban Centre, similar to the other Suburban Centres in the city (University Heights, Blairmore, Lakewood). Development in the area began in the 1960’s and continued until 2010.
The majority of the land is home to a variety of facilities like The Calder Centre, The Royal Canadian Legion, The Nutana Curling Club, The Lions Arena, and a number of other retail and office spaces.
There are two high schools in the neighbourhood being Walter Murray Collegiate and Holy Cross School. Elementary students would attend any of the schools in the surrounding neighbourhoods like Brevoort Park, Eastview, or Nutana Park.
There are just over 33 acres of park and green space in the Nutana Suburban Centre area. Recreational facilities include playgrounds, walking trails, football and soccer fields, baseball/softball diamonds, tennis courts, and the indoor rink (Lions Arena). Shopping is convenient at the Nearby Market Mall. Other shopping centres like Stonebridge or The Centre at Circle & 8th are a quick drive away.
The Nutana Suburban Centre is popular neighbourhood for seniors.
