Welcome to the Nutana Neighbourhood of Saskatoon
Nutana is one of Saskatoon’s oldest and most desirable neighbourhoods. Located in central Saskatoon along the South Saskatchewan River, this neighbourhood has a high walkability score, a variety of amenities, and much history residents enjoy today (a quick search on Wikipedia will produce historical information). Homes in Nutana were constructed in the early 1900’s, but today you’ll find many infill projects, restored properties, and new home developments due to the poor condition of the old war time homes. There are approximately 6,020 residents in the neighbourhood of Nutana.
Nutana offers three schools: Oskāyak High School, Nutana Collegiate, and École Victoria School. The University of Saskatchewan campus is conveniently located to the East in Varsity View.
There is just over 45 acres of park and green space in Nutana, which provides residents with walking trails, playgrounds, facilities for baseball, soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, and football, picnic areas, a paddling pool, and a small beach.
Shopping in Nutana is likely one of the best the city of Saskatoon has to offer. Broadway serves as a popular spot for summer fairs, pubs and restaurants, as well as locally owned shops. Downtown Saskatoon is a quick jaunt across either the Broadway Bridge or University Bridge, and 8th Street just to the South of the neighbourhood houses a number of retail and office spots.
One of Nutana’s best features is the Meewasin trails, and Rotary Park, which is bustling with activity in the summers and provides a beautiful cross-country ski trail.
