Parkridge is located in Saskatoon’s far west corner, just before the newer neighbourhood of Blairmore. Approximately 5,430 people reside in the neighbourhood, and there are plenty of attractive amenities that offer residents here convenience and comfort. Development in Parkridge began in 1970 and continues today as the neighbourhood grows to fill the lots that become available by the City of Saskatoon.
There are two elementary schools in Parkridge being James L. Alexander School and St. Marguerite School. Two high schools are located in the nearby Blairmore Suburban Centre (Tommy Douglas Collegiate and Bethlehem Catholic High School), which are one of the P3 Project joint-use schools in Saskatoon. Just over 34 acres of green space and park areas offer residents walking paths, playgrounds, skating rinks, soccer, volleyball, baseball and basketball facilities, and a spray park.
Shopping is conveniently located at either the Blairmore Suburban Centre, or the Confederation Mall. Another notable attraction near the neighbourhood is the Shaw Centre, which offers two pools, a gym, a walking track, and multi-purpose rooms.
