Welcome to the Richmond Heights Neighbourhood of Saskatoon
Richmond Heights is located between the neighbourhoods of North Park and River Heights. It is one of Saskatoon’s smallest neighbourhoods, with only about 1,030 residents, but don’t mistake for being undesirable. Being located next to the South Saskatchewan river and in close proximity to downtown Saskatoon, as well as having easy access to Circle Drive; River Heights has a lot going for it. Residential construction in Richmond Heights was completed mostly between 1950 and 1980.
The neighbourhood does not offer any schools, but children who live in the area would attend North Park School or École Saint Paul nearby. The University of Saskatchewan is also a quick drive away. The area offers 11 acres of green space and parks, as well as amenities like playgrounds, a paddling pool, basketball, soccer and baseball facilities, an indoor rink, and the locally famous Archibald toboggan hill. Ski trails and walking trails are abundant with the Meewasin Trails being on the Eastern edge of the neighbourhood. The CPR Bridge offers a connection by foot or bike to the University of Saskatchewan grounds, and the weir is a popular sight-seeing destination or meeting spot by all residents of the city.
Shopping is a quick drive to the nearby Lawson Heights Mall, or Preston Crossing, but there is a convenience store and restaurant at The Red Lantern Inn strip mall.
