Varsity View is located centrally in the city between Nutana and Grosvenor Park. As one of Saskatoon’s most desirable neighbourhoods, Varsity View offers a central location with close proximity to the University of Saskatchewan and easy access to the South Saskatchewan River, downtown Saskatoon, and the Royal University Hospital. Developed mainly between 1906 and 1980, this “character” neighbourhood is home to approximately 3,600 residents; a large portion of which are University students who rent their homes. Due to the age of the neighbourhood, you will see some newer homes and infill projects in the area.
There are two schools in Varsity View; Bishop Murray High School and Brunskill School and almost 7 acres of green/park space. Area residents enjoy neighbourhood amenities like playgrounds, walking trails, soccer and baseball fields, and outdoor rink and toboggan hill, as well as a tennis court at the Albert Community Centre.
Shopping is conveniently close along 8th Street, as well as at the stores at the corners of Clarence and 12th Street East, and the intersection at Cumberland and College Drive.
