Queen Elizabeth is located in Saskatoon’s South Central and is bound by some of the city’s arterial roads (Taylor Street, Ruth Street, Melrose Avenue and Clarence Avenue. There are approximately 2,750 residents in the neighbourhood and it offers a variety of attractions for the citizens there. Residential construction was completed primarily between the 1950’s and 1970’s.
There are two schools located in Queen Elizabeth being Queen Elizabeth School and Aden Bowman Collegiate. One park in the neighbourhood (Weaver Park) with just over 10 acres of green space provides a soccer/football field, playground and some walking trails, but there are many other amenities nearby like baseball, volleyball and basketball facilities, tennis court. Lathey Pool and J.S. Wood Library are found just North of the neighbourhood. Residents also enjoy Western Development Museum and Prairieland Park in the Exhibition neighbourhood.
Shopping is conveniently located just outside of the neighbourhood on Broadway Avenue, or at the intersection of Clarence Avenue and Taylor Street. Just a short drive away, Stonebridge offers a variety of “big box” stores and other retail and office.
